Maxine Lamoureux is the founder of Avalon Wellness & Performance in Naples, Florida. A Canadian-trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist, she brings over a decade of hands-on clinical experience with a special focus on CranioSacral Therapy and complex head, jaw, and nervous system conditions.

Her practice centers on helping adults and children experiencing:

  • TMJ dysfunction and jaw pain

  • Migraines and chronic tension headaches

  • Vertigo and vestibular imbalance

  • Post-concussion symptoms

  • Infant torticollis and cranial asymmetry

  • Stress-related nervous system dysregulation

Maxine is a Level 2 CranioSacral Therapist through the Upledger Institute and continues advanced study in cranial nerve dysfunction, pediatric CST, and somatic-emotional integration. Her work blends precise osteopathic assessment with gentle, nervous-system-informed techniques designed to restore balance, fluid motion, and long-term resilience.

Many clients seek her care after trying other approaches without lasting relief. By addressing the relationship between the cranial base, jaw, diaphragm, and pelvis, she works to uncover the root cause of symptoms rather than simply managing them.

Earlier in her career, Maxine completed extensive training in Active Release Techniques (ART) across the spine, upper body, lower body, and nerve protocols. While she no longer maintains active ART certification, those movement-based soft tissue principles continue to inform her clinical reasoning and hands-on approach.

She previously served as a Subject Matter Expert for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
