Your Questions, Answered — So You Can Feel Confident in Your Care

What services do you offer?
At Avalon Wellness & Performance, we offer a range of hands-on therapies including Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT), Craniosacral Therapy (CST), massage therapy, Active Release Techniques (ART), lymphatic drainage, Reiki, and functional movement support. Our approach is integrative and customized to your individual goals.

What can I expect at my first appointment?
Your first session includes a thorough intake and discussion of your health history, goals, and symptoms. Depending on the service, we’ll perform hands-on treatment tailored to your needs. We aim to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No referral is required. You can book directly with any of our practitioners. If you’re receiving care from another provider, we’re happy to collaborate as part of your care team.

How do I know which treatment is right for me?
If you’re unsure, we recommend booking an initial OMT or ART session with one of our experienced practitioners. During your visit, we’ll assess your concerns and create a customized plan that may include a blend of techniques for the best results.

Are your treatments safe for children and infants?
Yes. Our therapists are trained in gentle, age-appropriate techniques, including infant Craniosacral Therapy and pediatric manual therapy. We work closely with parents and caregivers to create a calm, supportive experience for your child.

Do you treat chronic pain and long-standing conditions?
Absolutely. Many of our clients come to us with ongoing pain, tension, or unresolved health concerns. Our goal is to address the root of dysfunction and support long-term healing—not just symptom relief.

What should I wear to my appointment?
For most sessions, comfortable clothing you can move in is ideal. For massage, you will be appropriately draped for your comfort. For OMT, ART, Reiki, and CST you’ll remain fully clothed.

How many sessions will I need?
That depends on your goals, condition, and how your body responds. Some clients benefit from just a few sessions, while others integrate our care into their regular wellness routine.

Do you accept insurance?
We accept HSA (Health Savings Account) payments. We do not bill insurance directly, but we’re happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) for out-of-network reimbursement if your provider allows it.

How do I book an appointment?
You can book online through our website scheduler or call our front desk. If you're unsure where to start, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to guide you.
